List of Reasons to Sign Up for Amazon Prime
This post contains affiliate links. If you make a purchase, I receive a small percentage at no extra cost to you.
If you have never signed up with Amazon Prime, you have been missing out on a great program!
For $99 a year or $10.99 a month you will get an Amazon Prime membership that includes:
- Free 2-day shipping on eligible items with no minimum order size–I can almost always find the item that I am looking for that is eligible for FREE 2-day shipping! Some of your shipments may even be delivered on Sunday. I’m not sure what determines whether or not you’ll get your package on Sunday or Monday if ordered on Friday, but before you finalize your order, you will be told when to expect your order to be delivered. You can get a text when it has been shipped and when it has been delivered. (if you do a lot of online shopping, you know how shipping fees can add up fast–one purchase can cost you $15 or more in shipping–I know that I am getting a great deal for $99 when I think about how much shipping can be–the other day I sent my daughter-in-law a Halloween book for her 1st grade class that was $3.50 with Prime free shipping! Sometimes I’ll send some $5 movies or treats to my daughter in college just to let her know we’re thinking about her.)
Unlimited streaming of tens of thousands of movies and TV shows
with Prime Video. Prime Video has a lot of movies that you get to watch as a part of your Amazon Prime membership. You will also see videos while you are searching that you will have to rent in order to watch, but if it is a movie you want to watch, it is usually $3.99 or less, I think, to rent right from your tv. (You don’t have to go to the Red Box to get the movie and then return the movie to Red Box.)
- Over a million songs that you have unlimited access to listen to through Prime Music.
- Secure unlimited photo storage through Prime Photos! (so you get FREE 2-day shipping, FREE movies, FREE music, FREE unlimited photo storage…for $99/year) Amazon Photo has an app that you can download that will transfer your photos from your phone to Prime Photos automatically–so convenient–and you don’t have to worry about losing your photos on your phone if something happens to your phone.
- Borrow books from Prime Reading
