I have been looking for a list of games for 4 year olds! My granddaughter, Hadley, will be a 4 year old this month. Time has sure been flying!
So, I am trying to figure out what to get her for her 4th birthday. Since most of her gifts stay at my house for her to play with when she is here, I look for gifts that I am interested in playing with too. If you have a 4 year old, you know that they want you to play with them. It is so much easier to play with them when they have toys and games that you like.
Before I purchase games, I try to remember that I need to look at the directions, if at all possible, to make sure I would want to play it with Hadley. If you are creative you may be able to make up new directions if you don’t like the given ones. Your 4 year old may also have their own idea of how to play the game and expect you to play it their way. 🙂 I always have to tell myself, “there is more than one way to do this”. I try to give Hadley an opportunity to be creative if she isn’t quite understanding the instructions I am giving.
You also need to see how many players can play the game. If the game is only going to be played by you and your child then it needs to be a 2 player game.
